The present Gyalwang Drukpa is the twelfth incarnation of the founder of the Drukpa Lineage, Tsangpa Gyare Yeshe Dorje (1161-1211). The successive reincarnations of the Drogon Tsangpa Gyare are recognized as the Spiritual Head of the Drukpa Lineage and responsible for the spiritual guidance of over 800 Drukpa Monasteries, in Tibet, Nepal, Ladakh, Garsha Kinnuar and other parts of the Indian Himalyas.

On sunday 7th June, at the occasion of the auspicious days of Sangye et Nyangde Düchen, Drukpa Paris lead two activities for the Shabten :
Practice of Tsedar : fish release (morning)
Accumulation of long life prayers dedicated to the long and healthy life of His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa (afternoon)
Just after the teaching talk* given by the Guru of our Precious Guru, His Holiness the XIVth Dalaï Lama, 25 members of the Drukpa sangha were happy to gather at Drukpa Paris center for the practice of Shabten.
We have recited long and short long life prayers to His Holiness and the long and short Amitayus mantra. In total, we gathered 24420 accumulations.
Two students of His Holiness were coming from other regions of France. One of these is going to join His Holiness and His entourage for the 2nd part of Pad Yatra. All our warmest thoughts are with her and the pilgrims.
With pure devotion, we wish a long life and excellent health to His Holiness. May all His Holiness’wishes be fulfilled for the benefit of innumerable sentient beings!
May the precious Masters of the pure and glorious Drukpa lineage live long !
* This public talk on « Ethic and society » gathered about 8000 persons in Paris. Then His Holiness the XIVth Dalaï Lama was bestowed the title of honour citizen of the city of Paris
