The present Gyalwang Drukpa is the twelfth incarnation of the founder of the Drukpa Lineage, Tsangpa Gyare Yeshe Dorje (1161-1211). The successive reincarnations of the Drogon Tsangpa Gyare are recognized as the Spiritual Head of the Drukpa Lineage and responsible for the spiritual guidance of over 800 Drukpa Monasteries, in Tibet, Nepal, Ladakh, Garsha Kinnuar and other parts of the Indian Himalyas. Drukpa, Fundación Canaria on La Palma Island, we can´t report so many numbers of released lives (not counting the 100-feet), as we dedicate our efforts on dependent animals in our western societies, who don´t have a chance to survive without constant help and protection from us humans (and we are also their "nightmare" so often). You might have read our article on the live to love website, where we asked for help in finding someone to adopt a poor lost Presa Canario dog. We are very happy, that we can report now that we could find a lady in Germany, who has kindly adopted her with her female dog, who is so much like her. When you look at the photos, isn´t it as if they belonged together from long time before and karma brought them together again ?
Ivan, whom we also presented in the same l2l-article asking for someone to adopt him, was not so lucky. As many think, he is not so "pretty", it will be difficult to find a new home for him. Therefore we decided to adopt him, where we feel, that we are responsible for the rescued animals, until they or we will die. So he is now castrated and is slowly integrating into the family. You can easily see his happiness and gratefulness now.
Just recently we could also rescue two cats, will have them vaccinated and chipped and already found a new home in Germany also, where they will fly with a tourist. The mother cat will be sterilized.
Then there is a 7 month young lady dog, who was given as a present to a child in an english family as a puppy , and now the game is over and she has to leave the family, but immediately. They put an enormous pressure on us to find someone already now, else the husband has to find a solution... We already organized vaccinations, chip and sterilization and just now found someone to take her in "pension" until she can possibly fly to her new home. Maybe somebody can help and adopt her?
Our animal family in our finca / house at this moment consists of 20 dogs, 4 donkeys, one horse, as well as countless beings, which we support outside like birds, cats, rats... Many of them are with us since up to 15 years (the prior ones have died already), many are sick and weak and we try to give them support, care and preparation until their natural death.
We are firm full time vegetarians since many years, as we don´t want to be the cause for other beings being killed.
