The present Gyalwang Drukpa is the twelfth incarnation of the founder of the Drukpa Lineage, Tsangpa Gyare Yeshe Dorje (1161-1211). The successive reincarnations of the Drogon Tsangpa Gyare are recognized as the Spiritual Head of the Drukpa Lineage and responsible for the spiritual guidance of over 800 Drukpa Monasteries, in Tibet, Nepal, Ladakh, Garsha Kinnuar and other parts of the Indian Himalyas.

We continued our Shabten Prayer Practice as usual on every Friday evening. For this time, life releasing activities were done on 25th of July which is in conjunction with Tibetan Calendar, the 4th day of 6th Tibetan Month, it is also the auspicious day of Choekhor Duchen. Drukpa Dharmashri Butterworth performed life releasing in Nibong Tebal river again, 40km away from Butterworth at 5.00pm.
We would like to thank the Drukpa Dharmashri Butterworth’s Advisor Datin Lisa Tan for full support and taking her time to participate and also Drukpa Butterworth Dharmashri commitee & members as well.
A total of 224 kgs or 21,513 lives mainly made up of South America Prawn were being released into the river.
