The present Gyalwang Drukpa is the twelfth incarnation of the founder of the Drukpa Lineage, Tsangpa Gyare Yeshe Dorje (1161-1211). The successive reincarnations of the Drogon Tsangpa Gyare are recognized as the Spiritual Head of the Drukpa Lineage and responsible for the spiritual guidance of over 800 Drukpa Monasteries, in Tibet, Nepal, Ladakh, Garsha Kinnuar and other parts of the Indian Himalyas.

Plouray with Kyabje Choegon Rinpoche
Dear Dharma friends,
We were delighted to welcome Kyabjé Choegön Rinpoché for the second time in Plouray from 14th August to 17th August 2009, where Rinpoche taught on the Prajnaparamita from the Heart Sutra and the commentary by Pema Karpo. The last two days were dedicated to Sangye Menla. On this occasion, Rinpoche bestowed the empowerment of Sangye Menla.
During this retreat, in presence of Kyabje Choegön rinpoche, we accumulated 50 500 Long Life Dharani and 54 500 Amitayus Long Life Mantras.
We enclose some photos of this marvellous retreat.
