The present Gyalwang Drukpa is the twelfth incarnation of the founder of the Drukpa Lineage, Tsangpa Gyare Yeshe Dorje (1161-1211). The successive reincarnations of the Drogon Tsangpa Gyare are recognized as the Spiritual Head of the Drukpa Lineage and responsible for the spiritual guidance of over 800 Drukpa Monasteries, in Tibet, Nepal, Ladakh, Garsha Kinnuar and other parts of the Indian Himalyas.

Life Release With His Eminence Khamtrul Rinpoche
As part of the program of His Eminence Khamtrul Rinpoche in Malaysia, we had earlier planned for a life release activity & Shabten for His Holiness. On 23 August 2009, both Drukpa Butterworth & Drukpa Penang members joint in in this life release activity in Sg. Udang. Approximately 500,000 small prawns and 136,000 small fish (which were reared for consumption) were purchased for released.
