Drukpa Singapore Life Release
September 10, 2009
It was a cool Sunday morning on September 6th, with an unusual combination of rain clouds but only a slight drizzle at Changi point where we boarded our four boats and headed out for the fish holding areas to purchase fish for life release at sea. We were led by H.E. 9th Khamtrul Rinpoche Jigme Pema Nyinjadh accompanied by lamas, a nun and Drukpa members and friends from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. We prayed at the fish holding point before proceeding out to release the fish and shellfish dedicated for the Long Life of His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa.
A total of 4000 shellfish and fish were released.
