Drukpa Mexico finds Shelter at Nalanda for practicing Shabten

The present Gyalwang Drukpa is the twelfth incarnation of the founder of the Drukpa Lineage, Tsangpa Gyare Yeshe Dorje (1161-1211). The successive reincarnations of the Drogon Tsangpa Gyare are recognized as the Spiritual Head of the Drukpa Lineage and responsible for the spiritual guidance of over 800 Drukpa Monasteries, in Tibet, Nepal, Ladakh, Garsha Kinnuar and other parts of the Indian Himalyas.

Our 1st Tsechu as wandering nomads

For the time being, Cultural Centre Nalanda has given us shelter, if not on a permanent basis because its lecture halls are rented for workshops, teachings etc. We have been offered 2 of its halls on a free basis whenever the place is not rented.

This situation has enabled our sangha members to be more creative and efficient in terms of learning how to improvise and set up a Drukpa shrine in a couple of minutes. We have learned to become a bit less attached to all our beautiful ritual objects carrying with us only the basics, specially our wish to get together and practice.

This time we did Tsechu and Dharani for His Holiness and all Drukpa Masters.
