Prayers and donations for Haiti victims on Solar Eclipse
Special Shabten practice
Friday January 15th 2010
On Friday January 15th, Drukpa Mexico organized a special 4 hour practice. According to some Buddhist traditions, Dharma practice on solar eclipse days is very beneficial and multiplies 10,000 times. We certainly wish that the little money we were able to donate for the Haiti earthquake victims would also multiply but at least we know that the prayers we dedicated to them will.

We offered lamps and recited the long Amitayus prayer for His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa and all Drukpa Masters.

We did a Riwo Sang Cho ceremony not with a large fire since we were inside, but with special Riwo Sang Cho incense from Bhutan.

We recited the King of Aspirations Prayer and dedicated the merits to our beloved Drukpa Masters and also to the victims of Haiti.
