Drukpa UK with Ani Lhamo

January 31, 2010

Last weekend, Ani Lhamo – one of our nuns in Plouray – visited the London centre to practice with us and provide guidance on some more complicated and intricate aspects to certain prayers.

We practiced Sengye Tsewa where she showed us how to use the bell and the damaru correctly. Some of us have performed this practice for several years but we have picked up bad habits and, thanks to Ani Lhamo, we’ve been able to ‘fine tune’ our practice, though we’ve still got some way to go !

Ani Lhamo also talked to us about the 'four thoughts which turn the mind towards the dharma' and the importance of remembering them in our day-to-day activities.

Above all, we accumulated mantras for His Holiness’s long life: 1,500 Vajrasattva one-hundred syllable mantras and 1,300 Om Sotti.

We greatly benefited from Ani Lhamo’s presence at the London centre, and we do very much hope she visits us again very soon.

with best wishes

Drukpa UK
